ABOUT THE PROJECT

Scope: To provide piping systems for the Washington State Ferry Vessel #3. Systems include, but aren’t limited to the Compressed Air, Hydraulics, Exhaust, Firemain, Lube Oil, Fresh Water, Sprinkler, Sanitary Drains, Sewage, and Used Oil Systems. Pipe sizes ranged from ½” to 28” and was systematically fabricated per the installation needs. All spools pieces were tagged individually based on location for easy reference and installation. Shinn Mechanical provided “ready to install” systems which included Pickled & Oiled Pipe, Galvanizing, High heat coatings for exhaust, pressure testing (air and hydro), and visual welding inspections per Washington State regulations. Due to the scope and schedule, Shinn worked closely with Vigor Fabrication to ensure deadlines were met and all welded pipe were leak free prior to shipping from our facility.
